80-acre
lot right by the
Luis A.
Ferre
expressway,
Campofresco’s
manufacturing
plant
incorporates
13
production
lines,
thousands
of
square
feet of
warehouse
space,
merchandise
loading
and
dispatching
areas,
quality
control
laboratories,
administrative
offices
and two
in-house
cafeterias
among
other
facilities.
The
company
employs
nearly
200
workers
in a
positive,
labor-union-free
environment,
offering
them
retirement
plans,
medical
insurance,
trimester
incentives,
technical
trainings
and
workshops
and
other
benefits
and
amenities.
Campofresco
operates under rigorous manufacturing
standards to guarantee the highest quality

The plant is under
continuous inspection by the
United
States Department of Agriculture
(U.S.D.A.),
which monitors the production of juices
and food products for the Puerto Rico
Department of Education School Lunch
Program (for which
Campofresco
manufactures fruit juices and beverages as
of 1994).
In 2007,
Procesadora Campofresco
was certified to be in full compliance with
A.I.B.
International’s
Consolidated
Standards for Beverage Plants
and
PepsiCo
Global’s
Food Safety
Standards for Beverage Plants, passing
a rigorous inspection with flying colors.
Campofresco's production lines incorporate the latest in packing technology and materials such as aluminum cans and hot-blown and hot-filled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles. These two technologies have come to comprise more than 50% of the current total industry market.
For the government
sales sector (specifically the School
Lunch Program),
Campofresco
provides products packed in hot-filled
plastic pouches using its proprietary
patented Alipak technology which extends
the shelf life of 100% juice products for
up to six months without refrigeration or
the use of preservatives. more
As a response to
these changes in the juice & beverage
industry trends,
Campofresco
is updating its complete proprietary
product catalog to PET and aluminum
packing in addition to the traditional
Pure-Pak refrigerated cartons.
The company also
offers commercial food service products
such as juice concentrates in post-mix
cartridges for food & beverage industry
